I have had the privilege of having Ben Wardell as my Physical Therapist for 5 years now. During this time Ben has risen to the challenge (each & every time) with whatever ailment I am presenting to him at that particular moment, and believe me there have been many for this 68 year old woman in the last 5 years with Ben.
Ben has a straightforward approach to his Physical Therapy practice. He is ready each & every week to dive in & get to work on what is ailing you at that moment in time. He doesn't give up, he strives for progress & for an end result. If one particular method doesn't work, Ben moves on to something that will work for his client. He is always on time & always professional. Ben is heavily invested in his clients wellness & well being on & off his Physical Therapy table.
Although not all physical troubles can be corrected, they can be greatly helped through Physical Therapy. Ben's approach to treatment such as this is a lifeline to that wellness all clients seek. Ben has kept me moving through life & I am ever so grateful for that.
Ben has a lot of beautiful sides & strength to him in his life. His Wife, His Son, His Family, His Faith, His Business, His Personal Life & Himself. He takes great pride in all of them & it shows wholeheartedly 100% in everything he does.
It's my honor to recommend Wardell Performance Physical Therapy. You'll see what I mean once you have had your first session. Enjoy.

Ben Wardell has been my physical therapist for over two years. In this time period, Ben has helped this very active older man (weightlifting, running, gymnastics, swimming, CrossFit), recover from one very serious injury and surgery, one minor injury and a surgery of choice. I have stuck with him because, first, Ben delivers everything I expect from a physical therapist and, second, things I feel blessed to have found in his care.
What I expect:
- He is technically brilliant and he loves explaining the hows and whys of what he is going to do, even as he does it. This gives me a sense of ease and control and, being a fitness geek, it adds to my knowledge base about my body.
- Ben is obsessively patient-focused. He is inquisitive, always probing for ways he can speed healing on an individual basis, he pays rapt attention to patients as he works on them and is quick to ask if something hurts; when it does, he employs a myriad ways to lessen the pain without ceasing the care.
- Unlike some professionals, Ben works in concert with the other people I pay to keep me in shape or fix my when I am broken. He interacts with my CrossFit coach to both inform her work with me and his focus for treatment and he listens carefully to my surgeon while still biasing my care to who I am and the goals I have which are quite weird for people my age.
- Ben stays ahead of new care approaches: he has advised me on getting umbilical chord / placenta-derived stem cell injections for my recent recovery from shoulder surgery and my healing time has been cut by literally four months.
The things I didn't expect:
- Ben is openly compassionate to people and meets them where they are at emotionally after being physically hurt. When I walked into his clinic for our first meeting when I had just heard my left shoulder rip apart--as did the guy spotting me on bench press--Ben expressed sorrow at what happened, admitted it was a bad injury and that it probably felt scary to me. But, when I asked him if it was something from which I would recover, he said "oh, absolutely, being an older athlete who likes to push himself into dark places, this is going to be a great mental challenge for you!" Under Ben's care it was a fun challenge and I am fully healed in that shoulder. He is just as compassionate with people who face the more important challenge of getting back to work or regaining the ability to walk.
- He is happy to pray with people for healing from God, or not pray with people if that's what they choose.
- Ben Wardell treats the PERSON not just the body parts. That is a gift missing from all too much of modern healthcare.
I fully, without any reservation at all endorse Ben Wardell and Wardell Performance Physical Therapy
